November 7, 2023 – Wuzhen and Zhejiang University organised the Annual Conference of International Digital Equality Alliance (IDEA) and Annual Conference of World Internet History. In my talk I discussed the special issue I co-edited with Lin Jian on platformization from China through the prism of TikTok, after introducing the critiques of Marleen Stikker on the broken internet and Geert Lovink’s work on Extinction Internet.
